eclectic grooves for restless souls
DJ Professor Ben has mixed tracks and performed for years, playing parties and venues in southern California and beyond. He currently plays regularly at LP Vinyl Bar on Vine Street in Hollywood’s Vinyl District. Combining DJ culture with punk rock attitude, Professor Ben is known for his unique style combining modern urban dance music—including hip-hop, house, techno, dubstep, and drum ‘n’ bass—with funk, jazz, lounge, rock, and swing.
Over the years he’s played multiple venues around southern California and occasionally in Tokyo and other parts of Japan. A multi-format and multi-genre DJ, he cut his teeth on college radio and had his first club gigs in Chicago in the late 1980s. He’s also become a fixture of the online DJ scene, with frequent performances on Twitch.
